Family Promise of Wake County is celebrating 25 years of moving Wake County children and families from homelessness to safe, affordable, permanent housing. Join us for "Keeping the Promise," a garden party and fundraiser, on Sunday April 14, 2019 at the Leslie-Alford-Mims House in Holly Springs.
As you might have heard, Family Promise founder Karen Olson recently suffered a health crisis. While she is well on her way to recovery, she is no longer able to keynote our event.
In her stead, Kat Lilley will join us. Kat is a Colorado native who has had close ties to Family Promise of Colorado Springs since 2013, when she and her children experienced homelessness. Six years later, she now serves as the executive director of the same affiliate that served her and her children, and she sits on the Guest Advisory Council with Family Promise National. Kat is an inspiring individual whose story truly illustrates the impact Family Promise has on the families we serve, both in Wake County and through affiliates across the nation. We are honored that she will join us as our keynote speaker!
We'll also recognize our original founding churches, many of whom are still serving with us 25 years later! The event features heavy hor d'oeuvres, a silent auction, Kat's keynote and fellowship with fellow supporters in a beautiful venue.
